About Us

At Be Embodied our goal is to make trauma informed, mindfulness meditation based yoga, accessible to everyone. We are the home of Mindflow Yoga, a style of yoga designed to keep one’s mind connected with their body through mindfulness meditation based and trauma informed instruction. This style of yoga encourages students to mindfully keep their attention inside the four corners of their mat while they practice. The mainstay is to let the body inform the pose rather than the pose inform the body. This practice focuses on self-compassion, focusing the mind, and mastering how to take yoga off the mat and into life!
  • We strongly encourage pre-registration for all classes through Vagaro
  • We offer yoga mats for students to borrow if needed.
  • New students should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class to fill out appropriate paperwork and get settled in.
  • Cell phones should be turned off, or set to silent.
  • Please refrain from wearing scents and lotions.
  • Please stay home if you are sick.

Vinyasa Flow

Sun salutations and creative flow sequences are emphasized, along with more challenging options for intermediate-level asanas, including arm balances and inversions. Linking your breath and movement energizes your mind, body and spirit while creating a moving meditation in a relaxed and welcoming environment. A variety of pose options are offered based on the needs of the class. Level: All Levels

Yin Yoga

Explore a relaxing, slower-paced yoga practice that is challenging in a different way. Yin yoga helps to stimulate the deep connective tissues through long-held, passive stretching, which dramatically improves flexibility, restores joint range of motion, and cultivates peace of mind. The majority of the asanas are done while sitting or lying down. Beginning and experienced yogis alike will feel nurtured, free & light after this class. Also great for athletes. Level: All Levels

Slow Flow Vinyasa

Revitalize your body, relax your mind, and reduce stress with slow, gentle standing flows and floor asanas (poses) to increase your strength and flexibility, and improve breath capacity. Ideal for beginners of any age or physical condition or experienced students who want a slower paced, less strenuous class. This class is also appropriate for Prenatal clients. Level: Beginner/All Levels

Beginner Vinyasa

Yoga is for Every Body! Learn the foundations of yoga so you can begin to experience its transformational effects. Explore body alignment and deep breathing while developing strength, flexibility, and balance in a supportive environment. This class is designed for the brand new student, yet experienced students may attend to reinforce the basics. This class is also appropriate for Prenatal clients. Level: Beginner/All Levels

Qi Gong
Mindful Movement QiGong will help you relax into your body, emotions, and mind through gentle flows and breath awareness. Designed for everyone, this class will guide you toward vitality, stress reduction, healing, and better health using its foundational principles of Tai Chi and Tao Yin yoga. Level: Beginner/All Levels
