Amanda Serena, LMHC
Are you running into family conflicts that you are not sure how to handle? Is getting older starting to overwhelm or depress you? There is no rule book for how to age or deal with family strife. Life is tough and sometimes you need a sounding board to help you navigate the challenges that life and aging throw at us. A sounding board whose goal is to be honest and open with you, to give you a better understanding of yourself and tools to work through these challenges.
As a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I am committed to supporting clients on their journey towards mental wellness and personal growth. I have worked extensively with individuals over the lifespan, ages 18-70 years old who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family dynamics, physical health problems, or relationship issues.
Professional Experience
With over 6 years of experience working in an outpatient setting, I am skilled in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, person-centered and solution-focused trauma informed care. I believe in the power of collaboration and strive to empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives. My approach to counseling is rooted in evidence-based practices, focusing on the unique needs of each client. In addition to my clinical work, I am dedicated to ongoing professional development to ensure that I stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic practices in the field. I hold a master’s degree from Medaille College and maintain licensure and an LMHC.
