Professional Experience

I have a diverse background in helping others reach their goals, and I would be honored to come along side you, working together to meet yours. I work with adults, elders, and teenagers ages 14 plus. I enjoy working with individuals and couples. I have had the privilege of working with a variety of needs, including people with disabilities, anxiety disorders, spiritual and existential issues, grief, and self-harm. I use a variety of modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness.

As a person with a physical disability, I have had intimate experience with what it means to have life appear limited to certain parameters. My exposure to medical trauma and recovery helped me decide that I wanted to work with others who have experienced profound pain. This led me to pursue my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, and complete 3,000-hours to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2015. Previously, I have worked at Best Self of WNY, Spectrum Human Services, Kenmore Mercy Hospital, and also ran a private practice. I am glad to be a part of the Be Embodied team, where we can address your concerns from a holistic approach, addressing your mind, body and spirit.
