Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Sometimes the past is difficult to move forward from. Sometimes we lose someone important to us or a previous event keeps invading our present moment. You might feel like every day is a struggle or that you can’t manage feelings of anxiety or depression. As a result your relationships might become complicated or volatile. It might feel like your life is spinning out of control, or that you just can’t keep up with the demands of life. If you are still reading you may be ready for a change.

Professional Experience

You are making a difficult decision to make changes in your life. My goal is to join you on your journey of healing, to support you in making your future vision a reality. I have spent my career as a counselor supporting adults, teens, and preeteens in their goals, no matter how big or small. I’ve helped people struggling with anxiety, depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, bipolar, and schizophrenia. It’s important to me that I give you tools and resources to manage upsetting symptoms, strategies to feel empowered with your communication, or simply give you space to feel your feelings without judgment. I have information and knowledge to help you understand yourself better, and I hope to empower you to resolve past traumas.

I received my Bachelors degree in psychology from Gannon University, and then obtained my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher College. I have worked in a number of different settings, from community-based crisis interventions, the psychiatric emergency department and observation unit of a hospital, community based care for Severely and Persistently Mentally Ill (SPMI) adults, and community counseling for children with Significant Emotional Disturbances (SED) and their families. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I utilize a trauma-informed and person-centered approach to ensure clients feel safe and heard in session. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and gender-affirming. If you believe I could be a good fit for your journey, please make an appointment today!
