Rhonda Kelly, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Welcome! If you are reading this, you’ve taken a positive step toward caring for yourself. I understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult decision. In therapy, our goal is to show you that you don’t have to carry your burdens alone and to teach you skills to aid in your healing process.

During our work together you will learn how to manage negative self-talk and the harmful behaviors that result from it. We will address issues that may affect your self-esteem, such as healing, grieving, and even the basic need to feel free. Although some sessions may be challenging, our objective is to find ways for you to feel relieved, gain a renewed sense of purpose, and take daily action toward building a stronger mental foundation.

I specialize in various areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, marital/relationship issues, and low self-esteem. I am passionate about my job as a therapist, and I take immense pleasure in witnessing the positive changes that my clients experience. It would be an honor for me to take you on this journey towards a better version of yourself, and work together as a team to achieve your goals.

Professional Experience

I utilize mindfulness techniques to help my clients focus presently on the good things going on in their lives and to connect their mind, body, and soul. To help my clients feel and heal through the therapeutic process, I use a variety of techniques such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Science from Daemen University and my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Medaille University. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have worked in various settings, including community mental health clinics, private practice, and online telehealth services. I have experience working with individuals who have Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and have also provided counseling for people struggling with grief, relationship issues, and spirituality.

I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me. If you think I would be a great fit for you, please do not hesitate to schedule an appointment with me.
