Victoria Stevens, MHC-P

Mental Health Counselor

Whether you are carrying the weight of past trauma, navigating a profound life transition, or adapting to the shifts and losses that can come with aging, it is easy to feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck. When life changes unexpectedly – or when old wounds resurface – you don’t have to carry the burden alone.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique rhythm. I integrate evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, with creative, expressive techniques. Whether we are building concrete skills for emotion regulation, establishing daily grounding routines, or using creative avenues to explore what words alone can’t quite capture, our work focuses on gentle healing and lasting resilience. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and equip you with the tools needed to build a grounded, fulfilling life. Together, we will create a safe, supportive space to honor where you have been, process difficult emotions, and help you find a sense of peace, clarity, and renewed purpose.

Professional Experience

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University. I began my professional journey as a counselor with Job Corps, supporting underserved youth in developing comprehensive career roadmaps while cultivating essential professional skills and behavioral adjustments. I subsequently expanded my clinical expertise within community health settings, serving diverse demographics with an initial focus on adult substance use disorders before expanding my scope to geriatric populations.

Recognizing that meaningful intervention requires an individualized approach, I adapted my clinical strategies to align with each client’s unique learning style and needs. My commitment to accessible care also led me to deliver home-based services to individuals facing barriers to traditional outpatient settings. Across these settings, my work has reinforced a central clinical insight: cultivating a strong sense of purpose is foundational to sustained personal growth and well-being. My practice is dedicated to trauma-informed care across all ages, alongside supporting older adults and individuals navigating major life transitions.
